Parish Life

Army Officer Dustin Menhart called from Afghanastan on Holy Saturday to extend Pascha greetings to the parish and express appreciation for the prayers for him. Dustin and his brother career officer Richard Menhart take time to remember the St. George Church even when they are on the opposite side of the world. Keep both men in your prayers and all men and women in the military and their families.

Remember the area miners on strike at this time. Several families in the parish are affected by the strike. Pray for an early end to the strike and the safety of the miners.

Remember the suffering Serbian People in Kosovo and Metohijia.

Remember the sick, the homebound, those in hospitals, in rehab centers, in prisons and jails and their caretakers.

Remember those employed in dangerous work-corrections officers, law enforcement officers, parole officers and miners.

No Adult Class this week.

Thank you to all parishioners coming to Divine services during Great Lent and Holy Week. Some parishioners not normally attending weekday services came this year.

Share the joy of Christ's Resurrection in your home and community.

Daily services are now broadcast on the internet on the parish website.

A Thought from the Holy Apostle Paul

But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the first fruits of those who have asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. For each one in his own order: Christ the first-fruits, afterward those who are Christ's at His coming. Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power. (I Cor. 15:20-24)
